Repair and car operation

Removal and installation of the podrulevy combined switch

Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid receiving traumas at its casual operation (see. Head Onboard electric equipment). Electroconducting of a chain of SRS is easy for distinguishing on yellow color of isolation. In order to avoid SRS system damage, track, that the steering shaft was not turned after removal of a steering wheel. Block a column the ignition key at the rectilinear provision of forward wheels.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

2. At the corresponding complete set of the car make safety cushion deactivation (see. Head Onboard electric equipment).
3. Remove a steering wheel (see. Section Removal and installation of a steering wheel).
4. On the Diamante models remove the handle of an otpuskaniye of the lock of a cowl.
5. Dismantle the knee emphasis located under a steering column. Remove the top and bottom sections of a casing of a steering column.
6. On the Diamante models if it is required, remove knee having blown and a sleeve of supply of air in a foot well, then accurately disconnect electroconducting from assembly of the podrulevy combined switch.
7. On the Mirage models disconnect all electroconducting, release a clamp and remove assembly of the podrulevy switch.
8. On the Galant models at the corresponding complete set turn out four screws of fastening to assembly of the podrulevy switch of a sliding contact ring темпостата. Turn out two fixing screws and remove the switch.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish switch assembly on the regular place and connect to it the corresponding electroconducting, - track reliability of a zashchelkivaniye of all provided clamps.
2. Establish sections of a casing of a steering column and a knee emphasis.
3. If removed, establish into place a sleeve of supply of air in a foot well and knee having blown.
4. Make sure that forward wheels of the car remain in rectilinear situation and establish into place a steering wheel (see. Section Removal and installation of a steering wheel).
5. Connect a negative wire to the battery and turn the ignition key in the situation ON, - on an instrument guard the control lamp of SRS should join for seven seconds.
6. Check serviceability of functioning of the podrulevy switch.
