Removal and thermostat installation

In order to avoid receiving burns, start works only after final cooling of system! Do not allow antifreeze hit on open sites of a body and the painted surfaces of the car. Casually got splashes immediately wash away a plentiful quantity of water. Remember that antifreeze is extremely toxic liquid and its hit in an organism even in small amounts is fraught with the most serious consequences (up to a lethal outcome). Never leave antifreeze being stored in leaky closed container and immediately collect cooling liquid spilled on a floor. Remember that the sweetish smell of antifreeze can draw to itself attention of children and animals. About ways utilization of the fulfilled cooling liquid consult at any station of car-care center. In many regions of the world special points on different reception of working off are equipped. At all do not merge old cooling liquid in the sewerage and on the earth!

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

2. Empty cooling system (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance).
3. Remove all components limiting access to the thermostat.
4. Turn out fixing bolts and remove a thermostat casing from the engine.

5. Take from a casing the thermostat, - try to remember the correct adjusting provision of assembly. The sealing ring of the thermostat is subject to replacement without fail!

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Fill the thermostat in a casing, - track density of landing of a flange in a flute chosen in a body of the inlet pipeline or a casing. Achieve the correct combination of the spuskny valve with a label on a thermostat casing.
2. Having replaced a sealing ring, establish a thermostat casing on the regular place and tighten bolts of its fastening with demanded effort (see. Specifications).
3. Fill in in cooling system necessary quantity of a mix of a demanded grade (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance).
4. Establish components acting in film for the purpose of ensuring access.
5. Connect a negative wire to the battery. Start the engine and warm up it to normal working temperature (the thermostat should open) and add in a radiator a little more cooling liquid, having finished its level to the bottom cut of a mouth.
6. After engine cooling once again check level of cooling liquid, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment.
