Adjustment of a pedal of a foot brake

Adjustment of height of provision of a pedal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Measure Height of provision of a block of a pedal concerning the floor panel (without a carpet). If the result of measurement falls outside the limits an admissible range (176 ÷ 181 mm), make the corresponding adjustment (see further).

2. Disconnect electroconducting from the sensor switch of stoplights.
3. Release a lock-nut and take away the sensor switch from a pedal so.

4. Release a lock-nut of a cutting finger of a rod of a pusher and rotation of the last adjust height of provision of a pedal, - rotate a rod flat-nose pliers. Having achieved satisfactory result, tighten a lock-nut.

5. Return the sensor switch of stoplights to regular situation (see. The section Replacement of the sensor switch of stoplights) also tighten a lock-nut.
6. Connect to the sensor switch electroconducting.
7. Check serviceability of functioning of stoplights (see. Section Replacement of the sensor switch of stoplights).

Adjustment of a free wheeling of a pedal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the muffled engine several times squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake for the purpose of dumping of residual depression in the vacuum amplifier.

2. Having completely dumped depression in the amplifier, press a pedal a hand and estimate size of its course till resistance emergence. Demanded value makes 3 ÷ 8 mm.

3. At excessively low size of a free wheeling of a pedal check correctness of adjustment of the sensor switch of stoplights.
4. Excessive люфт it is usually connected with wear of a cutting finger / its pin or a basic arm of a pedal. Replace defective components.
