Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. A design of the drum-type brake mechanism used on the Mirage models for 1992 вып. it is presented on an illustration.
2. To Poddomkratta the car also establish it on props.
3. Remove the corresponding back wheel.
4. Remove a dustproof cover of a stupichny nut.
5. Give самоконтрящуюся a stupichny nut.
6. Remove the external wheel bearing.
7. Remove from a spindle a brake drum assembled with the internal wheel bearing.
8. Remove an epiploon.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For validity check to further use самоконтрящейся nuts screw it on a spindle so that the end of the last came to light approximately on 3 mm. Measure a torque of resistance to nut rotation counter-clockwise. The result of measurement makes less than 5.5 H • m, the nut is subject to replacement.
2. Grease and establish the internal bearing.
3. Establish a new epiploon.
4. Put on a spindle a brake drum.
5. Grease and establish the external wheel bearing.
6. Tighten самоконтрящуюся a stupichny nut with demanded effort (150 ÷ 200 H • м).
7. Establish a protective cover.


Condition check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Measure internal diameter of the brake drum removed from the car, - for the purpose of identification of signs of ovality measurement should be made in several points.

2. If the result of measurement exceeds maximum permissible value (231 mm), replace a drum complete with boots (see. Section Removal and installation of brake boots).

Removal

3. Remove the corresponding back wheel.
4. Weaken an adjusting nut of a drive of the parking brake.

5. Having pulled on itself, remove a brake drum from stupichny assembly, - in case of need обстучите assembly by a hammer with soft brisk for the purpose of its release. If the disk at boiled and does not give in to removal, screw in two specially provided carving openings in its obverse surface pair of bolts suitable on the size and, gradually tightening them, release a drum.


Installation

2. Establish a wheel adjust a drive of the parking brake.
3. Lower the car on the earth.
