Check and adjustment of gaps of valves - only Mirage

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Regular adjustment of klapanny gaps is made only on Mirage models of 1.5 l of 1990 ÷ 1995 вып. and 1.8 l of 1993 ÷ 1995 вып.

Violation of adjustment of klapanny gaps to increase of the noise background, made klapanny the mechanism and violation of stability of turns of the engine. Check and adjustment of klapanny gaps should be made on the heated-up engine to normal working temperature!

1. Warm up the engine to normal working temperature, muffle it and disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

 If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

2. For the purpose of simplification of a provorachivaniye of the engine manually turn out spark plugs.
3. Uncover heads of cylinders.
4. Having turned a cranked shaft clockwise, achieve combination adjusting risks on a pulley with a mark T in the bottom cover of a gas-distributing belt, - pistons of the 1st and 4th cylinders should appear in provisions VMT. Подвигав yokes of a drive of valves of the 1st and 4th cylinders up-down, define, which piston from cylinders occupies the provision VMT of the end of a step of compression (both yokes will freely move).

5. With the help щупа lezviyny type measure size of klapanny gaps. In the provision VMT of the end of a step of compression of the piston of the 1st cylinder measurement of gaps inlet and final valves of the 1st and 2nd cylinders is made. Then the cranked shaft should be turned on one complete revolution clockwise for the purpose of reduction in VMT of the end of a step of compression of the piston of the 4th cylinder and measurement of gaps inlet and final valves of the 3rd and 4th cylinders.

6. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. In case of need weaken a lock-nut of a yoke of a drive of the corresponding valve and make installation of its gap by means of the adjusting screw. Having achieved demanded result, tighten a lock-nut with demanded effort (12 ÷ 15 H • m for models 1.5 of l/9 of H • m for models of 1.8 l), - track, that in the course of a nut tightening position of the screw did not change.
7. Establish into place a cover of a head of cylinders, screw spark plugs and connect a negative wire to the battery.
