Check of serviceability of functioning of a starter and start chain

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Before starting check of a condition of a starter make sure of completeness of a charge of the battery.

1. If the starter does not rotate at ignition key turn in the situation START, first of all make sure that the lever of the selector is in the situation "R" or "N" (model with AT) / in completeness of squeezing of coupling (model with RKPP).
2. Check level of a charge of the battery, estimate a condition and reliability of fastening of contact plugs of the battery and a starter.
3. If the starter rotates regularly, however the engine does not turn, it is necessary to replace drive assembly with the obgonny coupling.
4. If the starter is not turned, despite a serviceable clicking of the traction relay, the cause of failure can be covered in malfunction of a condition of the storage battery, oxidation of the main contact plugs of a starter, or failure actually the electromotor of starterny assembly. The probability of jamming of the engine is not excluded also.
5. If at a povorachivaniye of a key of any clicks it is not audible, it is necessary to check a condition of the battery, a protective fusible insert of a chain of start and the relay of inclusion of a starter. Possibly, actually magnetic actuator is faulty.
6. Having disconnected bobbin assembly, deactivate ignition system. Make sure that start of the engine is not obviously possible.
7. Connect the voltmeter between the positive plug of the battery and the plug B + a starter.
8. Turn the ignition key in the situation START and consider the voltmeter indication.
9. If the result of measurement exceeds value 0.5 In break or short circuit in electroconducting of a chain of a starter, therefore, takes place, - make necessary regenerative repair. If tension as it should be, pass to the following stage of check.
10. Connect the voltmeter between the positive plug of the battery and M.Povernite's plug a key in the situation START and consider the indication.
11. If the result of measurement exceeds value 0.5 In break or short circuit in electroconducting of a chain of a starter, therefore, takes place, - make necessary regenerative repair.
12. More detailed check of a starter can be made on a workbench with application of a special diagnostic tester, - ask with shops of automobile accessories.
