Check of a condition and replacement of fuel lines and their shtutserny connections

Remember that gasoline is extremely inflammable liquid! At work with components of a power supply system observe all taken measures of fire safety. Do not smoke! Do not come nearer to a venue of works with open fire or unprotected by the lamp shade carrying! Do not make system service in the rooms equipped with working at natural gas and heating devices equipped with a control torch (such as водогреи and dryers for clothes). Do not forget that gasoline is among cancerogenic substances, i.e., - the substances promoting development of a cancer! Try not to allow fuel hits on open sites of a body, use rubber protective gloves, at casual unforeseen contact to fuel carefully wash out hands warm water with soap. Immediately collect the spilled fuel and do not put the rags impregnated with a fuels and lubricants near sources of open fire. Remember that the power supply system equipped with injection of fuel of models constantly is under pressure. Before starting a detachment of fuel lines, dump residual pressure in system. At service of components of a power supply system put on goggles. Constantly hold near at hand the class B fire extinguisher!


1. Lines of a fuel path of a power supply system are laid between a fuel tank and an impellent compartment. Steel tubes and flexible fuel hoses fasten to the car bottom by means of clips and screw fixture. Each time when the car rises over the earth with any purpose (for example, for survey or replacement of components of system of production of the fulfilled gases), try to use a case and to check a condition of fuel lines and their shtutserny connections.
2. Attentively examine all hoses and tubes of a fuel path on existence of cracks, twisting, deformations and other mechanical damages.
3. At identification of signs of internal pollution or passableness violation the corresponding section of a fuel path is necessary for removing and blowing the compressed air.
4. Make sure of reliability of a tightening of all shtutserny connections of hoses and metal tubes of a fuel path.

Steel tubes


1. Use as replaceable sections only high-strength steel tubes of production of the proved manufacturers.
2. Remember that copper and aluminum tubes are not capable to sustain vibrating loadings arising in use the car.
3. Do not forget that fuel lines on the models equipped with system of injection, should maintain high internal pressure.
4. Often in firm shops of automobile accessories it is possible to get the sections of metal tubes equipped with carving shtutserny nozzles. During the easing and a tightening of shtutserny connections use two wrenches to avoid a provorachivaniye of a reciprocal part of the socket. Without fail check a condition of shtutserny connections of sealing rings used for sealing. The worn-out or mechanically damaged rings at once replace. Try to use as replaceable components only firm details.

Flexible hoses


At replacement of fuel hoses use only firm components calculated on high internal pressure.

Flexible fuel hoses should be laid not closer than in 10 cm from components of system of production of the fulfilled gases and is not closer than in 25 cm from the catalytic converter. Watch, that fuel lines did not adjoin to body elements and suspension bracket components. The minimum admissible size of a gap makes 6.3 mm.



1. Dump pressure in a power supply system (see. Undressed Sbrasyvaniye pressure in a power supply system).
2. Liberate section of a fuel path subject to dismantle from intermediate clamps of fastening it to the car bottom.
3. In most cases flexible hoses fasten to metal lines by means of collars of spring type. For an otpuskaniye of a collar compress it flat-nose pliers and shift up on a hose. The collar deformed at an otpuskaniye is not subject to a reuse and should be replaced. Track, that at connection the hose was tense on a tube a minimum on 2.5 cm, correctly establish a fixing collar.
4. In some shtutserny knots sockets of fast joining are used, - for an otpuskaniye of such socket it is necessary to compress his lock uvulas and to pull the connected lines in different directions.

Needlessly do not remove the socket case from a shtutserny part of a metal tube as it leads to weakening of holding effort developed by it.

5. Installation is made upside-down. On sockets of fast joining track a zashchelkivaniye of both lock uvulas in reception flutes.



In case of damage of the metal or flexible fuel line it is necessary to replace the failed section only firm the corresponding standard size.
