Combination of devices

Control lamps and indicators

The whole complex of control lamps and indicators by means of which the driver receives important information on serviceability/violation functioning of the main units and car systems is built in assembly of a combination of devices of the car. The scheme of an arrangement of control lamps on an instrument guard is presented on an illustration. Below information on a principle of functioning of each of the provided light indicators separately is offered to attention of the reader.

Control lamps of indexes of turn

1. Two control lamps in the form of arrows have a green luminescence and serve for control of serviceability of functioning of the corresponding indexes of turns. The direction of display arrows coincides with the chosen direction of a change of course of the car. Control lamps work in a flashing mode with the frequency corresponding to frequency of a blinking of indexes of turn. The speeded-up blinking of one of control lamps usually testifies to a peregoraniye of a lamp of one of indexes of the corresponding turn. It is necessary to make replacement of the burned-down lamp at the first possibility not to create emergencies on roads.


2. The simultaneous blinking of control lamps of indexes of both turns usually accompanies turning on of the alarm system.

Control lamp of inclusion of a driving beam

This light indicator lights up at the same time with inclusion of a driving beam of head headlights of the car and differs a characteristic dark blue luminescence.


Control lamp of inclusion of forward fog lights

Operation of this control lamp accompanies inclusion of forward fog lights of the car. The lamp has a green luminescence.


Control lamp of inclusion of back foggy lamps

The lamp differs an amber luminescence and serves for indication of inclusion of back foggy lamps.


Control lamp of level of liquid of washing of glasses

This lamp is shone with yellow light and serves for the notice of the driver on the termination of a stock of liquid of washing of glasses/lenses of head headlights.


Control lamp of pressure of impellent oil

The control lamp has an amber luminescence and serves for the notice of the driver on dangerous decrease in level of impellent oil. The lamp also quickly works at engine start.


Control lamp of leaky closing of doors

Burning of this control lamp warns the driver what not all doors of the car are densely slammed. The lamp has a red luminescence.


Control lamp of raising lay brakes/refusals of brake system

1. The control lamp (red) continuously burns when raising the parking brake, reminding the driver of need of his otpuskaniye before a start of motion. Movement with the cocked parking brake leads to a fast overheat and failure of brake mechanisms of back wheels of the car and premature wear of protectors of tires of back wheels, but also, can become a cause of infringement of serviceability of functioning of system of anti-blocking of brakes (ABS).

Control lamp of pressure of impellent oil

Control lamp of a charge of the storage battery

The control lamp of a charge should light up at inclusion of ignition and die away right after engine start. Inclusion of this control lamp at the working engine warns the driver about violation of serviceability of functioning of system of a charge, i.e., the storage battery passes a category mode. It is necessary to switch off at once everything consumers of the electric power on which functioning safety of traffic does not depend and to try not to allow останова the engine as attempt of its start can lead to the final category of the battery. Control lamp “Check the engine”

Before elimination of malfunction of systems of the engine try to move with moderate speed, avoiding sharp dispersals with complete squeezing of a pedal of gas.

Even if at engine restart the control lamp comes back to a normal mode of functioning (i.e., dies away), it is necessary to address at the first possibility for consultation on car repair shop, especially if such inclusions of a lamp occur not for the first time.


Continuation of operation of the car with the included control lamp of violation of serviceability of functioning of systems of the engine can lead to premature failure of the catalytic converter. Remember that on refusals and the damages which have resulted operation of the car with the included control lamp, guarantee certificates of manufacturer do not extend!


Control lamp of system of additional safety (SRS)

This control lamp lights up at inclusion of ignition and should die away right after implementation of start of the engine. if the lama continues to burn at the working engine (in a constant or flashing mode), it indicates existence of malfunction of components of SRS system. At the corresponding complete set operation of this control lamp can be the testimony of malfunction in contours of lateral safety cushions, or devices of automatic emergency natyazhitel of seat belts.

Tachometer

The tachometer shows frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine in thousand revolutions per minute. In order to avoid an exit of the engine it is out of operation forbidden to exceed the most admissible frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft (the arrow of a tachometer never should come into a red zone of a scale).


Speedometer

The speedometer shows speed of movement of the car. As a unit of measure the km/h usually serves. in certain cases on the dial of a measuring instrument two scales can be put: km/h and miles/h. The alarm buzzer of excess of admissible safe speed of movement (120 km/h) can sometimes enter into a complete set of the car.

The device registers the current amount of fuel in a tank. The error of indications of a measuring instrument is minimum, when the car occupies strictly horizontal situation. At car movement on twisting or hilly roads the error of the device increases. Functioning of a measuring instrument does not depend on position of the ignition key. The label of F corresponds to a condition of complete filling, Е - to an empty tank. The control lamp built in the dial (And) informs the driver on need at the first possibility to make car refueling.

The index of temperature of cooling liquid of the engine

The device registers temperature of cooling liquid of the engine. The normal working temperature of the engine at car operation in usual conditions corresponds to the average provision of an arrow of the index. Under trying conditions operation, for example, in very hot weather or at long lifting uphill the arrow of the index can rise to the top red mark in a scale (N). If the temperature of the engine increased so that the arrow of the index comes into limits of a red range of a scale of a measuring instrument (a label And), it is necessary to stop immediately movement, to move down on a roadside, to park the car and to make check of a condition of system of cooling about clarification of the reasons of an overheat of the engine (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance).

Odometer

The odometer fixes the general run of the car in kilometers or miles, depending on execution option.

Measuring instrument run/index of temperature of external air

The measuring instrument registers the current run of the car from the moment of the last dumping of indications (in kilometers or miles, depending on execution option). Dumping of indications of a measuring instrument is made by means of the special button which has been built in in an instrument guard speedometer assembly is more left.

Choice of a mode of functioning of external lighting devices

1. The choice of a mode of functioning of external lighting devices (dimensions, near light) is made by means of located on the end of the lever of the podrulevy switch of the rotary handle. There is a possibility of a choice of one of three modes of external lighting:

— marker lights - join lobbies and back marker lights, lamps of illumination of registration plate

2. On the models equipped with system of running fires of day time of day (DRL) head headlights automatically are transferred to a mode of a passing beam at ignition inclusion. Back marker lights are also automatically activated.
3. The majority of models is equipped with the alarm buzzer serving for the prevention of the driver about need of shutdown of lighting before an exit from the car. The buzzer works in attempt of opening of a driver's door at the switched-off ignition (a key in the situation LOCK or ASS) if the handle of a choice of a mode of external lighting is not transferred to the situation "Vykl" O.

Remember that excessively long functioning of external lighting at the muffled engine is fraught the podsadky storage battery!

2. Alarm system possibility is provided by a driving beam also: the alarm system is carried out by an easy otzhimaniye of the lever of the podrulevy switch in the direction of inclusion of a driving beam (situation (2)) and irrespective of chosen position of the handle of a choice of a mode of functioning of external lighting devices (see above).

Indexes of turns

Activation of indexes of turns

1 — Inclusion of indexes in a constant mode (before operation of the terminal switch or transfer of the lever to average situation)

2 — Short-term activation of indexes (to a lever otpuskaniye)


1. Activation of indexes of turns is made by an otzhimaniye of the lever of the left podrulevy switch in the corresponding direction. The lever is transferred up or down, to dependences of the chosen direction of a change of course.
2. At transfer of the lever to extreme top/bottom situation (before click) the corresponding indexes of turns will continue to function until the steering wheel will not be returned in rectilinear situation (will work the terminal switch) or while the lever will not be returned in neutral situation.
3. Short-term inclusion of indexes, for example, at intention to replace a ryadnost of movement is made by easy procrastination of the lever up or down.

Washers of lenses of head headlights

1. Inclusion of washers of lenses of head headlights for 0.5 seconds is made by a single nazhimaniye on the face handle of the left combined podrulevy switch.

Activation of washers is possible only at the switched-on external lighting devices (any of active positions of the handle).


2. Periodically check the provision of spraying nozzles, - the stream of liquid submitted through them should get on a surface of lenses.
3. Watch, that at the tank of washers constantly there was a liquid.

Regulator of an inclination of optical axes of head headlights

1. The tilt angle of optical axes of head headlights changes depending on car loading.
2. For adjustment of a distance of lighting (at inclusion of a passing beam) not to blind drivers of counter cars, it is possible to use a regulator of an inclination of optical axes of headlights.
3. The regulator should be established in situation (according to the provided table), corresponding to number of passengers and extent of loading of the car.

On cars with self-regulating shock-absorbers the tilt angle of a beam of head headlights is supported to constants automatically.

Switch of cleaners and windscreen washers

1. Activation of cleaners and washers of the wind is possible only at the included ignition (a key in the situation ON or ASS).
2. For management of cleaners/washers of glasses one of three types of switches is used.

Switch of the first type

Inclusion of a mode of single operation of screen wipers and mode of washing of glass

1. The first type of the switch is used for management of screen wipers without possibility of adjustment of duration of pauses of an interval mode. In this case the lever of the podrulevy switch is not equipped with the rotary handle. The choice of a mode of functioning of cleaners is made by transfer of the lever to one of four possible provisions:

O is switched off
---interval mode
l slow movement
ll fast movement

2. Possibility of single operation of cleaners is provided also, - rather slightly to delay the lever of the podrulevy switch on itself. This function appears especially useful at movement in a fog or under a drizzle. Stronger procrastination of the lever will lead to operation of washers
3. Inclusion of washers of glass is made by means of procrastination on itself the lever of the podrulevy switch.

Supply of washing liquid is accompanied by several cycles of operation of screen wipers.

Switches of the second and third types

Two other types of switches are used for management of screen wipers with possibility of adjustment of duration of pauses of an interval mode. The mentioned adjustment is carried out by rotation of the ring switch in the center of the handle of the lever of the podrulevy switch, or rotation of the face handle of the lever. Inclusion of all functions is made also as well as in case of switches of the first type (see above).


Switch of a cleaner and washer of back glass

1. A cleaner/washer of back glass are activated only at the included ignition (a key will turn in the situation ON or ASS).

2. Inclusion of a cleaner is made by a povorachivaniye of the handle of management on the lever of the corresponding podrulevy switch. The cleaner has two operating modes of functioning: the mode of continuous work and the interval mode, which inclusion is made by consecutive transfer of the handle clockwise from zero situation (About).

3. Supply of washing liquid is made by means of a handle povorachivaniye counter-clockwise from neutral situation (About).

Precautionary measures when using cleaners and washers of glasses

1. Attempts of start of screen wipers at the brushes which have frozen slightly to glass are fraught with an electromotor exit out of operation as a result of an overheat, - previously glass should be cleared of ice/snow and to warm up a way обдува hot air (see. Section Comfort).
2. Avoid inclusion of screen wipers at dry glass, - it is fraught with emergence of scratches on glass, and also considerably reduces service life of rubber working elements of brushes.
3. It is not necessary to include a washer continuously more than for 20 seconds, also avoid inclusion of washers at the empty tank, is it is fraught with failure of the driving electromotor of the submitting pump. Periodically check liquid level in the tank, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance).
4. In a cold season fill in in the tank of washers of glasses only special cold-resistant structures, - freezing of washing liquid can lead to failure of the tank and tubes of a submitting path.
5. Before use of washers in cold weather previously warm up glass, - freezing of liquid can lead to dangerous deterioration of the review to the driver.

Switch of the alarm light system

1. Turning on of the alarm system is made by an otzhimaniye of the push-button switch which built in in the central part of the dashboard of the car and has been usually equipped with an alarm lamp with the pictogram, representing two triangles entered each other.

2. Turning on of the alarm system leads to simultaneous operation of all four indexes of turns (and their control lamps on an instrument guard of the car). The alarm system is intended for the prevention of other participants of traffic of the compelled stop of the car and is used also in other dangerous situations provided by traffic regulations.

Switch of electroheating of back glass / external rear-view mirrors

1. Inclusion of electroheating allows to remove from a surface of back glass of condensate, hoarfrost, and even thin fly. The button of inclusion of electroheating is located on the control panel functioning of the heater/conditioner of air.

On as appropriate equipped models at the same time with heating of back glass joins as well heating of external rear-view mirrors.


2. At inclusion of heating the light indicator lights up built in the switch button.
3. Shutdown of heating is made by repeated pressing the button.

On the models equipped with central air of air shutdown of heating of glass it is made automatically in 20 minutes on a timer signal. Do not forget to check before a start of motion quality of the review through back glass of the car.

4. The threadlike grid of a heating element of a heater is pasted on an internal surface of back glass and demands care in the address, - try not to damage a grid when wiping glass. Wiping should be made only along heater threads.

Switch of fog lights

Fog lights can be included only at the included marker lights and are automatically disconnected at switching off of the last. For inclusion of fog lights press the button of the switch built in the dashboard (see an accompanying illustration). The control lamp reminding to the driver is built in the button of the switch that fog lights remain included. Shutdown of headlights is carried out by repeated pressing the button.


Switch of back foggy lamps

Activation of back foggy lamps becomes possible only at the included head and/or forward fog lights (at the corresponding complete set). For inclusion of foggy lamps press the button of the switch built in in the dashboard (directly under the button of inclusion of forward fog lights). The control lamp reminding to the driver is built in the button that foggy lamps remain included, on an instrument guard of the car the corresponding control lamp (see above) also lights up. Shutdown of lamps is carried out by repeated pressing the button.

Foggy lamps are disconnected automatically together with head headlights.

The regulator of brightness of illumination is located on the car dashboard, is direct to the left of a steering column. Demanded intensity of illumination of the panel is made by rotation of an adjusting castor of a potentiometer.

The lamp is located in a forward part of the ceiling arch of the car and joins automatically when opening doors. On the models equipped with the anticreeping alarm system at closing of doors of a lamp of the lamp start to reduce smoothly brightness of a luminescence before complete switching off. The lamp consists of two separate sections providing independent illumination of the left and right half of salon and operated by individual switches.

On models with the top hatch the design of the main salonny lamp differs from described above a little. Switching of modes of functioning of the lamp is carried out by means of a set from three push-button switches located in an average part of plafonny assembly, lateral buttons are intended for inclusion switching off of lamps of personal lighting.

Back personal lamps settle down in the top part of door pillars and are equipped with individual switches.
