Examples of typical defects of radiatorny hoses

1 — Check hoses on existence of the wiped sites.

2 — the Softening of rubber testifies to the beginning of its destruction as a result of aging.

3 — Too hard tightening of a collar for the purpose of more reliable fixing on an union/branch pipe of the hardened hose does not promote the leak termination, and only leads to destruction of a material of a hose.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The wide range of engine failures is connected with violation of functioning of system of cooling. On the models equipped with AT, this system provides also ATF cooling, supporting thereby optimum conditions for transmission work.
2. Check of a condition of components of system of cooling should be made after complete cooling of the power unit (not less than in three hours after an engine stop).

Do not uncover at all a jellied mouth of a radiator at the hot engine!

3. Uncover a radiator or a broad tank for what at first turn it to the left to the first emphasis. If the hissing indicating superfluous pressure in system is heard, wait its terminations, then press a cover a palm down and continue to turn to the left before liberation. Carefully wash out a cover from within and outside pure water. Wipe a jellied mouth of a radiator. From cleared surfaces all traces of corrosion should be completely removed. The cooling liquid which was in system should be rather transparent. If liquid is painted in color of a rust, the system should be washed out and filled with a fresh mix (see. Section Service of system of cooling). If level of liquid does not reach top, add in a radiator/tank a little more mix of demanded structure.
4. Attentively examine the top and bottom radiatorny hoses, and also hoses of system of heating of the salon, having smaller diameter and located between the power unit and a partition of an impellent compartment. Check hoses on all their length and in case of identification of cracks, swellings and signs of aging of a material make replacement of defective components. Small cracks are usually simpler for making out at a hose szhimaniye. Regardless of a condition it is necessary to change hoses approximately time in two years.
5. Check reliability of fastening of all hoses on the unions/branch pipes. Leakages of cooling liquid usually are shown in a look потеков rusty or white color on surfaces surrounding their source. 7. Every second check, and also at the first signs of violation of functioning of system of cooling make check of a cover of a radiator by pressure (see further). If near at hand there will be no suitable equipment, address for the help on car repair shop.
8. Having uncovered a radiator or a broad tank, by means of the corresponding transitional nozzle connect to system the manual pump equipped with a manometer.

9. Working with the pump handle, lift pressure in system to the maximum value of the indication of the manometer connected to the pump.

10. For some time observe manometer indications, - if pressure in system falls, therefore, leak takes place. Identification of a source of leak is made during repeated careful survey of all components of an okhladitelny path (once again pump up pressure).

11. If during visual survey to reveal a source of leak it is not possible, again lift pressure to a maximum and leave system under pressure upon some time. About 30 minutes later check the manometer indication, - if it fell less than to 20 %, it is possible to consider a condition of system satisfactory, otherwise it is necessary to address for the help to specialists of car-care center.
12. One more of the reasons of losses of cooling liquid are its internal leaks. This sort of leaks are usually connected with violation of tightness of laying of heads of cylinders or emergence of cracks in a body of the block and lead to hit of cooling liquid in engine oil and chambers of combustion of the engine. Oil thus begins эмульгировать, accepting a dairy and figurative consistence, the exhaust smoke at the moment of start of the engine appears the saturated water vapor giving to it dense white color. One more of signs of existence of internal leakages of cooling liquid is education on electrodes of spark plugs of a raid of greenish or white color, - by serial survey of candles it is possible to reveal the cylinder allowing leak.
