Replacement of the fuel filter

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

At service of components of a power supply system it is worth to remember that gasoline is easily flammable liquid in the highest measure. Do not smoke near a venue of works, do not come nearer to it with open fire! Immediately collect all traces of the spilled fuel, put the rags impregnated with a fuels and lubricants in such place where the probability of its casual ignition is absolutely excluded! Always hold near at hand the class B fire extinguisher! Try not to allow gasoline hits on open sites of skin - long contact such is capable to lead to development of cancer diseases. Remember that the path of system of injection of fuel constantly is under superfluous internal pressure which should be without fail dumped prior to the beginning of work (see. Head of the Power supply system and release).

Before removal of the fuel filter it is necessary to dump pressure in a power supply system (see. Head of the Power supply system and release)!

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

2. This work should be made at the cold engine (having waited for not less than 3 hours after trip end).
3. On the majority of models considered in the real Management the fuel filter is in an impellent compartment of the car and is fixed on its back partition.
4. For the purpose of simplification of access to the filter, uncover an air purifier assembled with an inlet air line (see. The section Replacement of a filtering element of an air purifier).
5. Wrap up rags shtutserny connections subject to undocking (at a socket otpuskaniye the fuel which was under residual pressure can start to be sprayed), prepare a stock of old newspapers for collecting spilled fuel.

6. Having fixed a nut on the filter from a provorachivaniye, the second key weaken a hollow bolt of shtutserny connection of the inlet fuel line. Disconnect the pressure head line from the filter, remove and will throw out sealing washers, - at assembly they are subject to replacement without fail.

7. Operating in a similar manner, release a cap nut of the shtutserny socket of the final line from the bottom party of the filter. Disconnect the line.

8. Having weakened two coupling bolts, take the filter from a collar of an arm of fastening of assembly on a partition. In case of need remove also an arm.

9. Fill the filter in a fixing collar and while only by hand, tighten bolts, - a certain weak point of landing of the filter will facilitate performance of procedure of connection to assembly of fuel hoses. Track correctness of installation of the filter: the direction of a pointer should coincide with the direction of a stream of fuel in a power supply system path.
10. Connect to the fuel line to the bottom party of the filter (do not forget to replace a sealing washer), screw and tighten by hand a cap shtutserny nut.
11. Bring the pressure head line to the top party of assembly, screw a hollow bolt of the shtutserny socket and tighten it with demanded effort (30 Nanometers), holding the filter from a provorachivaniye the second key. Tighten a cap nut of the bottom socket with effort of 35 Nanometers (again hold assembly from a provorachivaniye the second key).
12. Tighten coupling bolts of a fixing collar with effort of 14 Nanometers.
13. Connect a negative wire to the battery. Having included ignition, lift pressure in a fuel path and check power supply system components on existence of signs of development of leaks.
