Adjustment of the parking brake

Mirage models

On the models equipped with drum-type brake mechanisms of back wheels, previously it is necessary to adjust brake boots of the main brake mechanism.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check freedom of a course of a driving cable of the parking brake.
2. Counting number of clicks of a ratchet, cock the lever of the parking brake with effort of 200 N. Recommended value makes 5 ÷ 7 clicks.
3. In case of need make adjustment.

4. Access to an adjusting nut is possible from within floor section of the central console.

5. Weaken a lock nut of a rod of hummock assembly.
6. Rotation of an adjusting nut achieve demanded result (by number of clicks of a ratchet). Track, that between an adjusting nut and the lever it was not formed люфт, then tighten a lock nut.

Be not overzealous, - excessively hard tension of a cable can lead to failure of automatic regulators of brake mechanisms, and also "prikhvatyvaniye" of brakes!

1. Requirements for number of clicks of a ratchet when raising lever with effort of 200 N remain former (5 ÷ 7 clicks). In case of need make the corresponding adjustment.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On the Diamante models raising of the lever of the parking brake with effort of 200 N should be accompanied by three-five clicks of a ratchet.
2. Check correctness of adjustment of boots of the parking brake, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment.
3. Remove floor section of the central console. Release the lever of the parking brake and give a regulator lock-nut in the basis of lever assembly.
4. To Poddomkratta the car also establish it on props. Remove the corresponding back wheel and take a cap from a brake disk.
5. Remove a brake support and, without disconnecting the hydraulic line, tie up it a wire to a suspension bracket element.
