1. Adjustment of drum-type brake mechanisms is made automatically in use the car. Besides, manual adjustment it is necessary to make also each time after replacement of brake boots or fixing elements of brake assembly.
2. Remove a brake drum (see. Section Removal, installation and check of a condition of a brake drum).
3. Make careful cleaning of the brake mechanism.
4. By means of a special measuring instrument define internal diameter of a brake drum.
5. Rotation of an adjusting castor establish boots so that forming workers of surfaces of their frictional slips took place on a circle with the same diameter, as internal diameter of a drum.
6. Plant a drum on assembly of the brake mechanism (see. Section Removal, installation and check of a condition of a brake drum). |
